Not that you won’t want to spend time in the kitchen – it’s gorgeous, spacious and fits a massive granite-topped table. The sitting room opens to a veranda and oozes white sofas and uninterrupted views that stretch from big windows across paddock to fields and Bude, a 12-minute walk away. Children will love the games room with billiards and plasma TV – and the Wendy house in the garden. Upton House also sleeps 12.
