The Coach House, Apple Store Cottage & The Barn, Middleton Hall, Pickering, Yorkshire, England
Noelle lives in the main house at the bottom of the garden, greets guests warmly and leaves fresh flowers and homemade cream teas for your arrival. Your delight in her cottages, so luxuriously turned out and so lovingly cared for, is assured. The Coach House and Apple Store are Georgian and listed, and both are filled with interesting antiques and quirky pieces to make you feel at home. Be charmed by oak beams and quarry-tiled floors, pretty textiles, soft carpets, thick towels, wood-burning stoves, heated flagstones (in the Coach House), harmonious colours, French touches and gorgeousness galore. The attention to detail is remarkable, from the lovely vintage coffee pots from Holland (Noelle's homeland) to the Thai massage and the babysitting - both on request. Each cottage has its secluded garden while the main grounds are vast, full of old and young trees, swathes of daffodils in spring, rabbits, badgers and chirruping wildlife. To crown it all, the village pub is a three-minute walk (a free bottle of wine accompanies your meal), the North Yorkshire Moors National Park surrounds you and Pickering, a charming market town, is of the shortest drives.

It's time to be thinking about Autumn breaks and holidays. Dalby Forest is an increasing attraction for our visitors and the area is working hard to offer facilities and inspiration to walkers. We are surrounded by lovely countryside and plenty of stately homes and Ryedale has some fabulous food and dining possibilities. You may even like to do your Christmas shopping in good time! It doesn't have to be an expensive holiday though, as the only extras are your food and transport. All the cottages are fully equipped to make cooking a pleasure and many people are so content they are reluctant to explore their surroundings. Cottages are available from £405 for a 3 or 4 day break. 4 or 5 people. Economical! Ryedale and the Coast offers a huge range of opportunities with biking and walking becoming ever more popular. Excellent shops and eating to enjoy. Many like just to unwind and leave the exploring to others. Breaks start in October begining any night of the week by arrangemment. We are taking bookings for next year already. Christmas 2010 availability - Coach House £868 and the Barn £940 with Christmas tree and decorations and unexpected surprises. We managed a silver band one year. Pickering War Weekend is available for the Barn - 14th October weekend £595. Sleeps five. Secure off road parking. Large vehicles by arrangement.
