Terrific for just two people or for the big family reunion. The same comfortable, stylish feel applies to all five properties around the splendid, Georgian Upper Court. And all benefit from the lake (boat available) and 15 acres of grounds and lovely gardens. The Herfords love antiques and their classic good taste, along with a genuine understanding of what's needed (they've been welcoming guests for 30 years), make for a happy experience. The Dovecote, a romantic hideaway for two, overlooks the lake; the Garden Flat - linked to the main house - sleeps two in cosy splendour. The Stables, sleeping five (two in a ground-floor half-tester bed, with steep stairs to the bathroom and top bedroom) and the Courtyard Cottage, sleeping eight, can be linked to take an extended party. Watermill Cottage, with its own lakeside garden, sleeps 10. The Coach House is the largest of the lot and its sitting/dining room huge, with three sofas and two long dining tables; it's ideal for special get-togethers, and catering and maid service can be arranged. wood-burning stoves, 'secret' doors, good bathrooms, well-equipped kitchens... an outdoor pool (June-Sept) surrounded by exotic plants, an all-weather tennis court, croquet, table tennis and the Cotswolds on your doorstep. Quite a place!

Weddings can be arranged in the manor house.
