Rose Cottage, Dunalastair Holiday Houses

Rose Cottage, Dunalastair Holiday Houses, Dunalastair Estate, Kinloch Rannoch, Perth & Kinross, Scotland

Rose Cottage – well-named, its front is rose-draped in summer – stands in a secluded garden crammed with colourful shrubs. It is part of the huge Dunalastair Estate – a working farm with cattle and sheep, forestry, fishing, shooting and stalking. You don't have to stray far for romantic views of lochs lined with birch trees, and the famous Schiehallion Mountain stands proud within sight of the cottage. Your little holiday home – neat as a pin – is cheerfully decorated, light and practical, perfect for dogs and wet wellies and fishing gear; super for young children too. There's a Rayburn in the kitchen (electric heating throughout), new appliances, fresh walls and a lino floor; you arrive to a tea tray with shortbread, milk and garden flowers. The sitting room is carpeted, with comfortable furniture, fireplace and basket of logs, plenty of games, books and satellite television; bedrooms are neat and spotless. You can fish for trout for free on the estate loch or the river, roam the grounds or play tennis. Pony trekking, white water rafting and golf are a phone call away.

The Estate has been awarded a Bronze Award from the Green Tourism Business Scheme. Eight more cottages available, one suitable for disabled guests with assistance.
